This easy-paced route threads between nature, art, and history as we move through forested paths and open ground toward the sanctuary complex. The chapels hold centuries of devotional art. The hillside opens onto the plains below and the arc of Alps beyond. We walk as the light shifts—cooler air, longer shadows, the particular quality that arrives as day ends. - Sunset Walk to Belmonte -
We depart from Valperga's Piazza F. Pastore in the late afternoon, following forest paths that wind steadily upward through mixed woodland. The route combines natural beauty with cultural discovery as we pass historic sites and occasional art installations integrated into the landscape. Our ascent of 360 meters takes us through the quiet forest, emerging at Belmonte as golden hour approaches. We explore the summit area where nature, history, and art converge, then watch the sun set over the Canavese valley and distant Alps before descending by headlamp and for those who's willig to enjoing some food and drinks together (and/or visiting a local wineyard to discover the secrets and taste the wines of the Belmonte hill)
