We will hike on historic trails, amidst centuries-old forests and stone villages. Each day is punctuated by discoveries: tea tastings, suspension bridges, panoramic views, and free time to explore Locarno and Bellinzona. Limited to 8 participants, this trip combines mountain hiking with cultural experiences in one of Switzerland's most scenic regions.
Arrival at the hotel by late morning, depending on your preferred mode of transport. First immersion on the Ticino trails: we set off in the footsteps of Roman-era castle ruins, offering an exceptional viewpoint over the Maggia river and Lake Maggiore. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Early morning heading to Val Verzasca. Between ancient alpine pastures and turquoise waters, you will cross the famous Lavertezzo bridge before reaching the village which was long the smallest municipality in Switzerland. On the return journey, free time to stroll in Locarno.
Head to the Bellinzona market to prepare a picnic for lunch and enjoy a free visit; then head to the heights and a 270 m long Tibetan bridge suspended 130 m above the river.
The last day, but not the least. We climb through a magnificent chestnut forest to the Casa del Tè on Monte Verità . A guided tour of the astonishing tea plantation, followed by a tasting of different teas. Return to the hotel in the early afternoon, then return home.
