Itinerary
Arrival in Interlaken and Transfer to Lauterbrunnen - Meet in Interlaken and transfer to Lauterbrunnen Valley. Settle into accommodation and gear check. Short orientation walk through the village to view Staubbach Falls (297m) and get acquainted with the valley floor. Evening briefing on the week ahead.
Lauterbrunnen Valley Floor and Lower Waterfalls - Explore the valley floor on forest paths and paved trails. Visit multiple waterfalls including Trümmelbach Falls (glacier-fed cascades inside the mountain), Staubbach Falls, and several lesser-known falls along the western valley wall. Gentle introduction to the terrain.
Mürren and the Western Ridge - Ascend to Mürren via cable car or trail. Ridge walk with views across the valley to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Pass several high-altitude waterfalls cascading from the Sefinen Valley. Descend through alpine meadows and forest paths back to Lauterbrunnen.
Gimmelwald to Sefinen Valley - Trek to Gimmelwald and continue into the remote Sefinen Valley. Rocky trails lead past dramatic waterfalls fed by hanging glaciers. Mountain pass crossing at approximately 2,300m. Return via a different route to maximize waterfall viewpoints.
Wengen and Eastern Valley Walls - Explore the eastern side via Wengen. Traverse forest paths and rocky trails beneath the Jungfrau massif. Multiple waterfalls pour from the Wengernalp plateau. Ridge sections offer panoramic views across the entire valley system.
Hidden Waterfalls and Remote Trails -
Full day exploring lesser-visited sections of the valley. Combination of valley floor and mid-altitude trails to access waterfalls visible only from specific vantage points. Rocky terrain and some exposed sections. Final count of waterfalls observed during the week.
Final Valley Walk and Departure - Morning walk to any missed waterfalls or favorite spots from the week. Pack up and transfer back to Interlaken. Trip concludes by early afternoon.
