Hike iconic Dolomites peaks on a moderate full-day tour from Giau Pass. 560m elevation gain through rocky trails and alpine meadows with a certified guide.
We'll set off in the morning from Passo Giau, one of the best-known spots in the Dolomites, and we'll already be able to see today's destination: the Nuvolao Mountain Hut. Making our way through scree slopes and along footpaths, we'll circle round this mountain and, before returning to the pass, we'll stop off at the famous Five Towers and their open-air museum dedicated to the First World War. The hike will last all day and cover around 8 kilometres with 560 metres of elevation gain. I classify it as moderate because the rocky trails require steady footing and some stamina, but the route is well-marked and I'll set a pace that works for you.
