About Ian Huyton
I'm Ian, and I've made the Alps my home for more than a decade now. I started guiding in 2018, moved to Chamonix in 2021, and a year later opened my own trekking business, with my French tour operator registration coming at the same time. It's grown steadily ever since, one season building on the last. I lead treks in the Alps throughout the summer months, spending some time in Norway most years as well. In winter I teach skiing, and head up the same mountains in ski-touring mode when I have time off.
