Cal Lowey Verified Guide

About Cal Lowey

My name is Cal. I started guiding because I believe the best mountain days are those that leave people with lasting memories, greater confidence and a genuine connection to the places they’ve explored. My passion for the outdoors began growing up near the Yorkshire Dales and has taken me across mountain regions throughout the UK. After a successful career in senior leadership, I moved to Scotland in 2022 to pursue that passion full-time. I’m an experienced hillwalker, keen climber and am continually developing my winter mountaineering skills. Whether introducing someone to their first mountain, supporting a corporate or charity challenge, or sharing the history behind Scotland’s landscapes, my aim is simple: to help people explore safely, confidently and with a deeper appreciation of the mountains.
